Judge Molberg Selected to Serve as Local Administrative District Judge for Dallas County

DALLAS (Jan. 12, 2015) - Judge Ken Molberg has been selected by his District Court judicial colleagues to serve as Local Administrative District Judge (LADJ) for 2015 and 2016. Judge Molberg will continue to preside over the 95th Civil District Court and fulfill the role of LADJ in addition to his regular duties. Judge Molberg is seeking re-election to the 95th Civil District Court in 2016.

The office of Local Administrative District Judge (LADJ) is created by statute. In Dallas County, the LADJ serves a two-year term, and the duties are many, including: appointing special committees relating to court management; administering the courts’ budgets and fiscal matters; supervising the employment and performance of non-judicial personnel; overseeing the expeditious movement of court caseloads; implementing and executing local rules of administration, including the assignment, docketing, transfer, and hearing of cases; and setting the hours for holding court in the county.

Judge Molberg previously served three terms as the Presiding Judge of the Civil District Courts of Dallas County.
